Detailed preparation advice
Rinse 1 part lentils, put in a pan of cold water, bring to the boil for 1 minute and then drain (this step helps to ensure that the lentils are well digested). Continue cooking in 1 part water over a low heat for 15 to 20 min. You can add herbs or kombu seaweed to the cooking water. To be eaten hot as a side dish or cold in a salad.
